Local Builder Releases 2Q Results

Columbus-based builder M/I Homes says second quarter profit rose as compared with the same period last year. The firm reports a profit of 7.3 million dollars, compared with a loss of 3.2 million last year. The company credits an increase in the number of signed contracts for homes and its expansion into Texas. Sales of 234 million dollars fell by 63 million from last year's second quarter.
