Local Couple Charged With Defrauding Relatives Of Deceased Persons

Arraignment is pending for two Delaware County residents indicted for allegedly stealing money from people who thought they were buying items for their loved one’s gravestones. Theodore and Arminda Martin are accused of victimizing 44 people who have loved ones buried at Fairview Memorial Park in Lewis Center. The victims allegedly paid the couple for items such as grave markers, grave plots, and vaults that were never delivered. The couple owns a cemetery in Pennsylvania
