Local Motorist Who Killed Tow Truck Driver Gets Four Years In Prison

A Columbus man will serve 4 years in prison for striking and killing a tow truck driver on State Route 104 in September of 2014. Prosecutors say 33-year-old Brian Spencer was speeding and high on drugs when he struck and killed 55-year-old John Carpenter Junior, who was working a crash scene. Spencer is serving a 16-year sentence on unrelated drug and weapons convictions.
