Local Prosecutor Touts Special Unit

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says today his office recently sought grand jury indictments for more than 60 people accused of violating state gun laws.O'Brien says the indictments were sought by the office's Gun Unit, which is made up of five full-time prosecutors who handled cases referred by Columbus police. O'Brien says between 2010 and 2012, the unit closed more than 11-hundred cases with a conviction rate of more than 98 percent.
