Local Teen Murder Suspect To Be Tried As Adult

Franklin County Prosecutor's Office

The case of a 16-year-old Columbus girl charged with stabbing and killing another teen was moved yesterday from juvenile to adult court. Franklin County prosecutors say there is enough evidence to win an adult conviction against Cierra Howard for killing 17-year-old Jasmine Goodwin last month during an argument outside of the victim's Kenview Road home. Goodwin was a student at Walnut Ridge High School.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
