A Logan County woman was sentenced yesterday to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of causing her 100-year-old mother's death by severe neglect. Prosecutors say 77-year-old Mary Strawser neglected Blanche Cowan for years, leaving her to die last year on a couch in a dilapidated trailer. She weighed 84 pounds when she died.
