Locals Working To Preserve Original Port Columbus Terminal

columbuslandmarks.org

Historic preservation groups and the Columbus Foundation are teaming up to repair the roof of the original Port Columbus terminal and control tower. The 300 thousand dollar project will turn the Charles Lindbergh-designed building off East Fifth Avenue into office space.  Project officials hope the work will help extend the life of the building for decades to come.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
