Lottery Sets Sales, Profit Records

The Ohio Lottery is reports record-high sales and profits for the 2014 fiscal year, boosted in part by revenue from new video lottery terminals at three racinos. Preliminary data shows traditional sales and the VLT revenue totaled 3.2 billion dollars, an increase of 314 million from the previous year. The lottery generated more than 904 million dollar in profits, which are used to support public schools. Total profits increased by 101 million dollars from the 2013 fiscal year.
