A Las Vegas man has been convicted for his role in a drug trafficking operation in central Ohio. 43-year-old Jaime Ruiz-Montes was arrested in January after authorities say he met with 35-year-old Marcos Osorio of Columbus and obtained a package containing nearly two kilograms of heroin from Osorio's vehicle. Osorio and the passenger in Ruiz-Montes' vehicle, 37-year-old Benjamin Uribe-Cervantes of Columbus, each pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges. Sentencing is pending.
