Man Convicted In Slaying Of Ross County Woman Sentenced To Life In Prison

The man convicted of killing a Ross County woman last year was sentenced Friday to life in prison. 38-year-old Jason McCrary was convicted last month in the death of 38-year-old Timberly Claytor, one of five county women reported missing or found dead in the last three years. He claimed he got an unfair trial due to the attention the news media has given the case. McCrary was convicted of shooting and killing Claytor in May of last year and hiding her body off Trego Creek Road. Defense attorneys say they plan to appeal.
