Columbus Division of Police

Columbus police say a homeless man who attempted to flee arrest by jumping into the Scioto River yesterday drowned after being underwater for 40 minutes.  Police say 34-year-old Christopher White jumped into the river near Confluence Park, the same path he successfully used to get away last weekend.  He was wanted for solicitation and obstruction of justice.
