Man Freed After Nearly Two Decades In Prison

cleveland.com

Cuayhoga County prosecutors have dropped charges against a man who was imprisoned for nearly two decades for murder but was granted a new trial. 40-year-old Anthony Lemons has been freed and got a new trial after a judge said police reports were withheld from the defense. One indicated a witness to the shooting identified Lemons citing shoes that weren't manufactured at the time.  Prosecutors say the witness died, and the judge would not allow transcript of her testimony to be used at trial. Lemons says he wants to work to improve his community.

Lemons spent 18 years in prison for the murder of Eric Sims.
