Columbus police say a man is hospitalized after crashing into a cruiser while driving under the influence early Thursday morning. Police say Alex Mendez ran a red light at Hudson Street and Cleveland Avenue and sideswiped the cruiser and a tree, causing his vehicle to roll over. Mendez is charged with OVI.
