Man Pleads Guilty In National Crime Sweep

Jan 18, 2013

A western Ohio man will spend at least 21 years in prison after pleading guilty in Columbus yesterday to secretly videotaping young girls in a bathroom at his home and trading the images for others online.

31-year-old Mickell Close of Quincy was arrested in November as part of a nationwide child pornography sweep that rescued dozens of victims of child exploitation. Prosecutors says numerous images of young girls in sexually explicit activity or bondage were found on Close's computers. The plea agreement calls for a prison sentence of 21 to 27 years, plus 20 years of supervised release. No sentencing date was set.
