Man Sentenced For Bilking Investors In Columbus Concert

Summit County Sheriff's Office

An Akron man has been sentenced to two years of community control after failing to spend money he received from an investor to organize a concert in Columbus. 45-year-old Carl Moss must also pay 55 hundred dollars restitution as part of his sentence on charges of theft and selling unregistered securities. Prosecutors say Moss got money from an investor by promising his company would spend it on the concert.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
