Metro Parks May Create Armed Police Force

Franklin County Metro Parks officials will review recommendations to improve security next week. A consultant is suggesting the parks board create an armed police force or contract with police departments to deter crime. The consultant says the currently unarmed Metro Parks rangers leave the parks vulnerable to violent crimes.
