More Ohio Cases Linked To Tainted Steroids
State health officials say a sixth fungal meningitis case in Marion County b rings to 11 the total number of cases in Ohio linked to recalled steroid injections for back pain.
Federal officials say more than 280 illnesses and at least 23 deaths in the outbreak linked to a specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts called the New England Compounding Center. The pharmacy has recalled its products. 64 facilities in Ohio received products from the pharmacy and four Ohio clinics received the potentially contaminated steroids.
