More Pilot Flying J Staffers Plead Guilty

Two more members of the Pilot Flying J sales staff have pleaded guilty to defrauding customers of the truck-stop chain owned by the family of Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and Republican Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. Regional Sales Manager Michael Fenwick pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud. Regional Account Representative Janet Welch also pleaded guilty to a mail fraud conspiracy charge. The charges are related to a scheme in which Pilot customers were cheated out of the fuel rebates and discounts they were supposed to receive. Five other employees have pleaded guilty to similar charges since an April 15th raid by federal agents on Pilot's headquarters. Some  have agreed to cooperate with prosecutors, who are seeking to charge Jimmy Haslam.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
