More red light cameras in Columbus

Columbus, OH – The city of Columbus has installed red light cameras at two more intersections bringing the total number of monitored spots in the city to nine. City officials hope to have cameras operating at 20 intersections by the end of the year. The devices are designed to help curb what the city says is a high number of accidents caused by drivers who run red lights. Listen to WCBE's interview with Deputy Columbus Safety Director Barbara Seckler, who talks about how the intersections are chosen, and how much money the program has generated so far.
