Nearly 12 Hundred Signed Up For Medicaid On Monday

Ohio is seeing an increase in online applications for Medicaid now that many low-income residents may sign up through a new website. The online enrollment option became available Monday for children, pregnant women and adults newly eligible under an expansion of the program. The state's Medicaid department says web applications reached nearly 12 hundred by mid-afternoon Monday. Most still have to be finalized by county caseworkers, though the state expects the process to be more automated and seamless in the months ahead.
