New Annual Report On State Health Gives Ohio Low Marks

Ohio is the 40th healthiest state in America, according to the annual National Health Assessment by the United Health Foundation and the American Public Health Association. UHF Medical Advisor Reed Tuckson says too many Ohioans fail to get enough exercise.

Tuckson says Ohio's high school graduation rate is ranked 16th, which is a positive for the state's overall health.

The report evaluates each state's performance on a variety of health measures.  Tuckson says as a comparison, Ohio was ranked 27th in the country in overall health in the first report issued in 1990.
