Cincinnati officials have chosen a successor to city manager Milton Dohoney.

Harry Black has been Baltimore's chief financial officer for the past two years, and is credited with fixing that city's financial woes. Mayor John Cranley says if confirmed by City Council, Black will assume the job in September. Mahoney left earlier this year to take a similar position in Phoenix, Arizona.
