New Downtown Development Planned

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year on new shops and apartments in downtown Columbus. Developers plan to put retail space at the ground level and more than 150 apartments on top of office space at a 12-story building on North High Street near the Columbus Commons park. Groundbreaking on the 50-million-dollar project is expected in November.
