A new grocery store opened Wednesday in Franklinton.
The Lower Lights Christian Health Center will operate the non-profit Jubilee Market and Cafe on West Broad Street near South Yale Avenue. The store will offer affordable, nutritious food in an area with a high poverty rate. Customers living below the federal poverty level will be offered discounts. The facility is partially supported with city funds.
