New Music Festival In Columbus Slated For Summer

A new music festival will take place in Columbus this summer. Mike Foley has details.

PromoWest Productions will host a three-day music festival in the Arena District beginning July 15th. Officials say PromoWest Fest will feature national and local musicians on three stages throughout McFerson Commons and North Bank Park. The concert promoter has four venues in Columbus, and last year it took over operations of the Bunbury and Buckle Up Music Festivals – both in Cincinnati. PromoWest Fest joins a growing list of Columbus music festivals, including Comfest, Independents' Day, Fashion Meets Music, Rock on the Range and Park Street. Tickets will go on sale with the music lineup announcement in March.

Mike Foley joined WCBE in February 2000, coming from WUFT in Gainesville, Florida. Foley has worked in various roles, from producing news and feature stories to engineering Live From Studio A sessions. A series of music features Foley started in 2018 called Music Journeys has grown into a podcast and radio show. He also assists in developing other programs in WCBE's Podcast Experience. Foley hosts The Morning Mix, a weekday music show featuring emerging and established musicians, our Columbus-area and Ohio-based talent, and additional artists that inspire him.
