New Red-light Camera At North Columbus Intersection

The City of Columbus says a red-light camera installed at the intersection of Morse and Sunbury roads will be activated at midnight tonight.City Council approved the camera program in 2005 and 2010, placing them at what police say are the most dangerous intersections for crashes caused by red-light runners. Critics have called the program a municipal money-grab, but the city says they have reduced the number of crashes. Violators will be mailed warning letters until October 14th, when they will be fined 95 dollars.
