New Rules Approved For Keeping Dogs Outdoors In Lancaster

Dog owners in Lancaster will soon face new rules for leaving their pets outside. City Council last night approved an ordinance regulating the type of tethers used when dogs are tied up outdoors. The measure also created standards for dog houses.  The measure was drafted in response to several complaints about animals left outside in poor conditions, and has the backing of animal-rights activists in Fairfield County.
