New Year's Day Programming 2018

Let's ring in the New Year with a day of holiday favorites and new specials on WCBE 90.5 FM! 

9am: Space Radio Special - Space Radio is your weekly guide to the universe, featuring the latest news in astronomy, physics, space travel, and discussions on the nature of science and the relationship between science and society. The best part: answers to your questions about space and time! Hosted by Paul Sutter.

10am: Paul Winter Solstice Concert - Celebrate the return of the sun and the warming of the heart with Paul Winter's 2014 encore Winter Solstice Celebration. On the darkest night of the year, we head back to New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine to hear The Paul Winter Consort.

12pm: The Earth Is Our Home - "The Earth Is Our Home For the Holiday and Always” is Living on Earth’s annual, holiday show.   The roster includes storyteller Jay O’Callahan, singer Denny Breau, and green hip-hop artist Tem Blessed.  They sing, rap, and talk the need for love, good food, kindness toward all creatures, and the value of imagination. Hosted by Steve Curwood.

1pm: Jazz Fusion for the New Year - Hosted by WCBE's Karl Gruber.

2pm: Vital Vinyl - Hosted by WCBE's Greg Moebius.
