New York AG Subpoenas Records Of Cardinal Health, Mckesson In Probe Of Opioid Marketing Practices

ag.ny.gov

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has served subpoenas on Dublin-based Cardinal Health and another opioid distributor as part of a multi-state investigation into their marketing and sales practices.

The subpoenas seek company records and communications relating to suspicious drug orders or cases in which opioids may have been improperly diverted by customers. Schneiderman has said his office is working with other states to find out whether distributors engaged in unlawful practices in marketing or selling prescription painkillers. The companies have yet to comment.
