A Newark police officer charged with domestic violence last year was fired on Friday. Tim Hansel was let go after an internal investigation substantiated four of eight allegations against him. Hansel was arrested in Heath last October, and later was granted diversion on a lesser charge of disorderly conduct. Hansel was also accused of violating police codes of conduct and his officers' oath.
