No Supervised Release For Convicted Killer

A Franklin County judge has ruled a mentally ill man accused of killing his mother will not be allowed supervised release from a state psychiatric hospital. But the judge says 27-year-old Daniel Neeley will be allowed more movement within the Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare facility. Neeley was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the October 2009 shooting death of his mother and the wounding of her sister at his Columbus apartment. Neeley's treatment team recommended that the court grant permission for him to have greater freedom within the facility and eventually supervised release.
