Ohio Abortions Decline

The Ohio Department of Health says the number of abortions last year continued a trend of decline in recent years. More than 21 thousand procedures were performed last year, 2 thousand fewer than in 2013 and the fewest since data-tracking started in 1976.   An Associated Press survey shows abortions have declined in Ohio and other states where new restrictive laws are in place, but also waned in states where abortion rights are protected. At least a half-dozen Ohio clinics have closed or reduced services over several years.
