Ohio Clergy To Focus On Climate Change

Many Ohio clergy will encourage church-goers this weekend to reflect on the moral implications of global climate change. The National Preach-in on Global Warming includes congregations of various denominations. This year's event will discuss the ways climate change impacts communities worldwide, including Hurricane Sandy's destruction on the East Coast and devastating wildfires out west. Lucy Waechter Webb, associate pastor at Summit on the 16th United Methodist Church in Columbus, says the Bible tells Christians to be good stewards of the earth. She says her members will discuss ways they can build a resilient community that addresses the changing environment.
