Ohio Colleges Want Trump To Keep Program For Immigrant Students

At least eleven Ohio colleges and universities are standing up for immigrant students who could see their statuses change after President-Elect Donald Trump takes office. Some advocates, attorneys and universities are concerned Trump could cancel the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which allows young immigrants to work and travel for humanitarian, educational or employment purposes. Ohio State University, Ohio University  and Miami University have joined other schools nationwide in urging the continuation and expansion of the program. Other participating Ohio schools include the Columbus College of Art & Design, Denison University, and Kenyon College.
