Ohio Deputy Sheriff Indicted In Beating Of Two ATV Riders

An Ashtabula County Sheriff's deputy has been fired after a grand jury indicted him on charges of beating two all-terrain vehicle riders who led authorities on a chase. Sergeant James Truckey has pleaded not guilty and is free on bond. He has also filed a grievance to get his job back.  Body camera footage  shows Truckey diving on a rider and striking him while he was handcuffed on the ground and following orders.
