Ohio Fungal Meningitis Cases Decline

State health officials say the number of fungal meningitis cases linked to recalled steroid injections for back pain has dropped from 16 to 15.

The state says a 28-year-old Marion County woman no longer meets the Centers for Disease Control's definition of fungal meningitis. The CDC says more than 420 illnesses and 31 deaths in the U.S. have been linked to a specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts that has recalled its products.
