Ohio High School Student Attempts Suicide In Class

Students will participate in an all-school prayer service prior to the start of classes this morning at an all-male Catholic high school West of Cincinnati, where police say a student shot himself in a classroom on Monday. La Salle High School spokesperson Greg Tankersley.

Tankersley says the unnamed student is hospitalized in critical condition after the apparent suicide attempt.

Green Township police describe the weapon as a semi-automatic handgun. They are investigating how the student obtained the gun and took it into school.
