Ohio Jobless Rate Unchanged From April

Newly released data shows Ohio's unemployment rate for May is 5.2 percent, unchanged from April. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services said Friday the number of jobless residents rose by 5 thousand to 302 thousand. The manufacturing, utilities and state government sectors had the largest increases. The leisure and hospitality and local government sectors had the largest declines. The national unemployment rate for May is 5.5 percent.
