Ohio Leads Nation In Jobless Claims

The Labor Department says the number of first time claims for unemployment insurance benefits in Ohio rose last week by nearly 88-hundred, due to layoffs in manufacturing.Ohio led the 50 states in weekly applications. Nationally, the department says weekly applications rose by 10-thousand to a seasonally adjusted 372-thousand.
