The Ohio Lottery has broken another sales record.
Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles reports.
The Ohio Lottery’s Danielle Frizzi-Babb says the Lottery set a sales record this year.
“Profits generated this fiscal year were $990,000,000 for the Ohio Lottery Profits Education Fund and that’s up from 85.7 million compared to last fiscal year,” Frizzi-Babb says.
The lottery’s newer games, which are available in bars, clubs and other businesses, are leading the way in sales. Keno sales increased more than ten percent and EZPlay tickets made a 17.7 percent jump. But sales of traditional lottery tickets like Rolling Cash 5, Classic Lotto and Kicker were down nearly 15 percent over the same time period.
