Ohio Man Sues Over Fake Antiques

An Ohio man says he is suing a gallery in New York City's Central Park after he was sold fake Faberge antiques.59-year-old David Butt of Dayton spent more than 165-thousand dollars for five knock-offs that he purchased from a New Jersey art dealer at the Essex House Gallery in August 2002. Butt discovered the fraud this summer when an expert in Cincinnati told him they were fakes. Butt admits he never received a certificate of authenticity, but he accuses the dealer of false and fraudulent marketing. The dealer has yet to comment.
