Ohio politicans claims opposition stalling on budget

Columbus, OH – Ohio Governor Ted Strickland accuses Republican state senators of delaying a state budget deal for political gain as they failed to offer alternatives to his proposal to put slot machines at Ohio's race tracks. Strickland says lawmakers need to be working around the clock to close a $3.2 billion budget deficit. Ohio senate president Bill Harris says he does not have any political motives. Harris says senate hearings on the slots proposal exposed flaws in the Governor's plan. More from Ohio Public Radio's Karen Kasler.
