Ohio Population Declined, Birth Rates Increased In 2013

The U.S. Census Bureau says two central Ohio counties led the state in births last year. Franklin County had 18 thousand 200 births last year to lead state. Delaware County had the largest growth in the percentage of births during the same period. Population-wise, the state lost nearly 74 hundred people last year, with nearly half coming from Cuyahoga County. Three-fourths of Ohio counties had a net loss of residents . Hocking County had the largest percentage of population loss - 2.34 percent. Ohio had more than 11.5 million residents last year.
