Leaders of the union representing 4 thousand state workers say they've reached a tentative agreement with Ohio officials on a new, three-year contract that includes a pay increase.
The Service Employees International Union, District 1199, says full details of the deal will remain confidential until its members hold a ratification vote. The union did say the terms include a 2.5 percent wage increase each year of the contract retroactive to July 1, 2015. SEIU represents workers in 18 different state agencies. The deal comes after months of negotiations.
