Ohio State Issues Another Safety Alert

For the second time in less than a week, Ohio State University has issued a public safety alert and increased security following a threat on a chat site referencing potential violence on the Columbus campus. The university police department last night announced that it had information regarding a potential shooting or other violence today at a "cafeteria" or other unspecified areas on campus. Police say they are taking the threats seriously. They say extra police and security officers will be on campus today patrolling at or near dining facilities. The school issued a public safety notice Wednesday regarding a similar threat.
