OHP: Speed And Weather Caused Turnpike Crashes

A preliminary investigation into the cause of a series of fatal Ohio Turnpike crashes earlier this month blames drivers' speeds, road conditions and weather. The initial report from the Ohio Highway Patrol will be sent to the Sandusky County prosecutor for consideration of criminal charges. The March 12th crashes on a snowy two-mile stretch of the Ohio Turnpike were mostly caused by trucks. Three people were killed and trooper Andrew Clouser was injured.
