150 soldiers from the Columbus-based Army National Guard 1st Battalion, 137th Aviation Regiment are deploying to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The Ohio Adjutant General's Department says the unit will provide aviation support and conduct operations in partnership with countries in the region. A deployment ceremony was held over the weekend. Meanwhile, nearly a dozen members of the Ohio Air National Guard's 180th Fighter Wing are home from southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They spent six months in southwest Asia providing support services.
