A Columbus man was sentenced Monday to 16 years in prison for beating and killing another man last November. 41-year-old Lamont Evans Senior and two other people beat and killed 38-year-old Ryan Wilson during a robbery attempt. Prosecutors say Evans and Wilson were roommates. 33-year-old Raymond Freeman Junior and 25-year-old Marcus Vinson are awaiting trial.
