Online Fundraising Campaign For Deceased Toddler's Funeral Launched

A relative of a Maryland toddler found dead in Big Walnut creek on Wednesday is raising funds to pay for his funeral and other expenses. Shemekia Chambers says the online effort is designed to help her cousin Shawn Beckford, father of 14-month-old Cameron Beckford. The toddler's mother, Dainesha Stevens, is being held on charges of child endangering and tampering with evidence. Her attorney says Stevens made up a story about leaving the child on a doorstep because she could not care for him and that was her way of asking for help.
