"Organic Matter" Blamed For Tapwater Odors

Columbus utility officials say the foul stench in tap water on the West side will pass in a few days.Odors were reported yesterday by dozens of residents served by the Dublin Road Water Treatment Plant. The Public Utilities Department says organic matter washed into the Scioto River by this past weekend's rains are to blame for the odor.
